Hope everyone had a great 4th! We had a great time.
Friday we had Greg and Emily over and did burgers on the grill. The kids (minus Annabelle) enjoyed the fireworks. We let Aaron light a bunch this year which he was thrilled with. And our ice-cream actually froze pretty well. Yay. Lily was cute copying what the boys said about the big fireworks (that one was super awesome, etc).
Saturday we were up at Jeff and Keri's for a great party. They seriously have the perfect party house--shady back yard with a pool, huge kitchen, great view from the deck, rockband, pool table. We had great burgers and homemade fries, then had a rousing game of volleyball in the pool (after throwing Jeremy in for his birthday then getting grabbed by him in revenge--how did everyone else get away??), then played rockband or pool til it was time to head home.
Sunday morning Aaron and I took a bike ride a ways down the river trail. It's a lot more fun to bike with Aaron now that he has a bike with gears. Then after some chores went to see Wall-E. It was a cute show. Then we drove down to Pam's for some burgers (do you see a trend here?) and more fun time for the kids with the cousins. We were all talking and Greg found out that Katie hadn't seen Back to the Future. She's 17 (this month, right?), and so a lot of movies we grew up with that she may not have seen, so we spent awhile thinking up of favorites that she should watch at some point.
All in all a fun weekend.
