Which one do you like better, and why?

I like the second picture better because I like the contrast of the green on the left side, though I know nothing about photography. Looking at the first picture, I thought the windows were just holes in a wall and that there were trees on the other side of the wall.

I agree - the second one's better. The first picture is too stark. The trees give the building context, and I think the horizontal orientation works better for this shot.

Where did you take this pic, anyway? Just curious.

This was taken at a winery near Boise.

I don't know which I like better. I like the first because I thought the vertical shot with the vertical windows looked pretty cool. But the contrast with the trees on the bottome one is also good.

I also like the second one better. There is more interest in the picture with the green. It gives as nice perspective of the building too.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree, and choose the first picture. I like the aesthetic of the composition better, and in fact if I were you I'd crop a little tighter and get rid of the trees altogether. I think the second shot is a nice "remember this cool church" picture, but the first more artistic.

Upon further consideration, I agree with Rasko.
